The number 7 correlates to the Yoruba Goddess Yemaya (aka as Yemoja/Iemanja) this year in the Lukumi tradition and I did some research on the power of the number 7.

The obvious ones are:

There are 7 seas: the Caspian Sea, the Red Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea, the Persian Gulf, the Adriatic Sea and the Indian Ocean.

There are 7 days of the Week. These days are named from deities that ruled that particular day.

There are seven layers of Heaven a soul can pass through.

It is considered a sacred number in Freemasonry.

There are 7 dwarfs: Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sneezy, Sleepy and Bashful.

The seven deadly sins: Sloth, Gluttony, Lust, Greed, Anger, Envy and Pride.

There are four days in the month of March that the numbers of the days add up to “Lucky number 7. Use the power of “7″ to bring in good things.

There is magic in your name! Whether you know it or not, there are magickal associations of numbers to the alphabet and when deciphered, your name has a combination that is linked to the magical vibrations of a number. This number can be used when deciding a career, lucky numbers in a game of chance or lotto, and for insight as to how life will be presented to you and the type of energy the number resonates.

This is the chart that is used to determine the number associated with each letter o the alphabet:

To calculate your “lucky” magickal number by using your name, here is an example of one I have done:

7+6+3+6+8+6+5+2+1+1 = 45 = 4 + 5 = 9

So you can see that Pocohontas’ name adds up to 45, and we always break the number down to its’ most simplest form, so we add the 4 and the 5 to get 9. Her magical number in accordance with her name is the number 9.

So, let’s do a real person’s name. I am going to choose Tommy Lee Jones, an actor who’s name sounds like it really is his given birth name. In the realm of Hollywood, there are so many who have ‘stage names’ and at that point, it would be wise to use the name they are known by, unless another spelling of it would be more advantageous to use.

Now Tommy Lee Jones’ name is an exception the the reducing rule: when the lowest number is an 11 or 22, you must leave the number at that state and do not reduce any further. Eleven and twenty two resonate the energy of both even and odd numbers. How? Eleven in its’ basic form is an odd number, however, it is also vibrating the energy of the number two because 1 + 1 + 2.  The number 22 is vibrating both the energy of 22, which is double 11, plus 2 + 2 = 4. So the ancients have taught us to leave the numbers 11 and 22 alone and do not reduce them any further.

Sometimes when calculating with your nickname such as “Jackie”, Beth” or “Zack” may produce an  number that is ominous for you. In the case of “Zack”, maybe using Zac or his full name of Zachariah would produce a more auspicious number. At this point, he should drop using the ‘old name’ and begin using the more advantageous one, even when signing his name. This si the same for people who hyphenate their last name with their spouses’ or change their last name altogether. If it is more auspicious to keep your last name, then you should use it on all your legal holdings and by known as “Sally Jones”, not Sally Jones-Brown”.
