Tarot by Jacqueline | Definition of Spiritual or Magical Coaching Part 3 of 3

This is part three of a 3 part series in helping to give clarity and insight into the different types of spiritual counseling that you may be offered with different consultants or readers.

Spiritual or magical ‘coaching’ is not usually part of a reading, however, it can be included if a consultation is given. Spiritual coaching can be more defined as someone behind the counter of your local botanica or candle shop showing you how to anoint the candles, set the min place, write your petition paper and other guidance on how to achieve your best results with your candle spell. If your question is simple, most will give you basic instructions, but you may find that if you are unsure of yourself or the language being used is just too foreign to your ears, you may have to ‘hire’ your consultant to come to your home to set your altar or to sit one-on-one with you to demonstrate your candle spell  in a more thorough manner. This is similar to a pharmacist; you ask them which antacid is better and them they tell you how to best take the over the counter medicine. For major heartburn, you will be instructed to go see a doctor and pay the co-pay for the visit.

Often spiritual ‘coaching’ is a used as a substitute for the word ‘counseling’, as most people well versed in this practice may be very knowledgeable in Scripture and other Holy Practices, but cannot use the ‘counselor’ title as they have not been ordained into a legitimate religious organization. Many people, however, do participate or actively belong to a religious center, may be known as a “Brother”, “Sister”, “elder”, “Deacon”, or “Deaconess”. Some, like myself, have taken instruction and became and Ordained Minister. Counseling is as counseling does; it is a time when you are privately discussing various personal and spiritual matters with someone wise in these matters. They give Wise Counsel without having access to connections that may harm the client professionally or personally. These wise people may suspect certain medical, psychogical or emotional disturbances that they will notify you of, so that you can seek quality, professional care by a licensed Doctor, physician or therapist to determine if this is the organic cause of the situation. Your session with a spiritual or magical coach should never be considered professional therapy or medicine, as almost all will not have state licensing to practice as such.

Tarot by Jacqueline | Definition of a Spiritual Consultation – Pt. 2 of 3

This is a second part of a three part article defining the difference between readers and readings, consultations and consultants and what one might encounter and expect in each of these types of appointments.

The term used for appointments with a Southern style spiritual worker is many times called a “consultation”. While some consultations will utilize the methodologies described in the first part of this article, namely “divination”, it can be said that not all “consultations” are divinations”. It can ALSO subsequently be said that not all “divinations” are “consultations”.

Confused?

I’m sure you can be, but once you are at the end of this article, you should have a clearer understanding the difference between the two, and how to identify which one you are receiving at the time you are with the Spiritual Worker.

In the old time traditional sense, a Consultation is usually a meeting with a spiritual worker and they ask you what is the problem or situation, you tell them your story, they ask a few questions, you answer and then they begin to formulate baths, herbs, oils, spell kits, and any other spiritual supplies for you to use. You will receive instructions on how to use them or they will tell you how they are going to do the work for you. Traditionally, this is not done with any divination tools and most times, within the walls of a candle shop or botanica (Latino herb and candle shop), this is free. You can receive a divination without a consultation, and a consultation without a divination, for your personal situation. It is traditional to pay a token fee for the divination, but it is the purchase of the spiritual supplies and products that “covers” the consultant’ s time spent with you in the guise of a consultation.

Can you receive both in one swoop? Certainly – I give plenty of free advice on how to use a candle, what oils to consider and how to lay a “trick” or cast a candle spell free during my divination readings with Tarot and Obi divination. So are some who visit a candle shop or botanica confused and disappointed when they do not receive both when they go and talk with someone? I am sure they are but this is to the discretion of the shop owner in regards to how much “free” advice he wants to give to the customer. I have some people who definitely want a certain mojo bag made for them and I make it, with asking a few questions on what the specific purpose it is to be used for, and that is considered the “consultation” and I complete the order.

This article is to help you see the differences between what you are offered in the amount of free advice and what you may be asked to pay for in a reading so that you will be a smart shopper and not to be “duped” into paying for more than is necessary.

Tomorrow, magical or spiritual “coaching” and what that entails.

Tarot by Jacqueline | Definition of a Reader and Readings – Part 1 of 3

Greetings!

This blog article was prompted by a telephone call I received just a few days ago and will be broken down into three blog posts. The caller asked what is it that I exactly do when a client calls for a consultation. She asked the difference between a “reading” and a “Consultation”. Since I consider all things combined when doing a reading with a client, I thought it would be good for me to explain what I do in contrast to what others do for you when ordering spiritual services.

In my practice, a reader is someone who uses divinatory methods or traditional objects such as Tarot Cards, Bones, Shells, the Bible, crystals, Pendulums or any other items considered consecrated or blessed and are traditional methods of divination. Some of these items are centuries old, some are newer. Are they all the same? No, in the respect that your outcomes and answers may not be identical, but they all carry a message for you.

A side question to this is – do all Readers use items for divination? The answer is No – some are clairvoyant (seers), some clairaudient (to hear) or clairsentient (to feel). Some use psychometry, or the holding of an object that you possess. Some merely use items to turn your focus away from them so that while you are looking at the table, they can get information that you might be blocking if you were to sit and look the reader in the eye. Anther reason is that while you are focusing on the crystals laid out in a pattern or the designs on the cards in front of you, you have no way to force a reaction in your face or body movement – in other words – you cannot ‘play act’ or ‘make up’ natural body movements and facial expressions.

Now even I use cards on my table when reading for clients but in some cases when the human energy is so strong – whether good or bad – I will get ‘it’ like a freight train barreling down a track on me. I have had people turn around in line in front of me and within two minutes have given me every aspect of their lives – verbally and non-verbally, and all I wanted was to pick up some milk and a loaf of bread. I have ‘heard’ what a man wanted to do (and it wasn’t nice) and also I have been so ‘jumpy’ (my word) when sitting next to a person that I couldn’t wait to get up from the theatre because of the negative energy bouncing off of them. I have identified a strangers’ illness that was sitting next to me while I was attending another psychic’s event and have fainted because of someone’s ‘psychic vampire’ force that wanted to be me so badly that they ran an energy drain on me that knocked me off my feet. Is this good? No, and that is why readers will pace themselves and schedule out their day in order to take breaks, have a little nourishment and even take showers and change clothes between clients – all in the process of clearing their space and energy for the next client.

I recently had a visitor at a psychic fair I attended come up to me and wanted a reading right then and I asked her if she had signed up for a time slot. She had and it was to occur twenty minutes later than the moment she plopped in my chair. I told her I would see her in a few minutes, but she insisted I begin her reading ‘right away’ because she traveled a long way to come to the event and she ‘didn’t have all day’. I kindly told her that I had to refresh myself from the last client in the chair and I pace myself with a time slot sign up sheet. Sorry to say, she did not honor that Truth enough to wait until her assigned time and left without a reading.

Remember, the reading is a method of finding out on different energy levels what is in store for you and it should be treated with the respect that it is messages of Help and Assistance from the Universe. It is always a delight when a client is on time and did not bring their babies or children, pets and the surly mate or lover that is sitting out in the car waiting for them. Truth be told, professional psychics, clairvoyants or readers do work within the same respectful scheduling like a doctor or dentist, and should be viewed with the same respect. On the other hand, when your psychic is running late, please know that the professional readers will either refund part of your money or give you more time in the end of the reading. This way, the reader is making sure you get your full money’s worth.

Tarot by Jacqueline | Spring Cleaning Your Space for Good Luck and Blessings

Greetings!

This week I painted the hallway and a bedroom, cleaned the carpets and lo and behold, the grass and mallow that was taking up my yard got a mowing!

This was the first week that we had no rain all week and I got busy getting all the Winter’s funk out of my home. I got the girls to clean out their clothes closet and we made a big run to Goodwill. We are lightening our load.  Ironic as it sounds, I read somewhere that when people start reducing their clutter and things not used any longer, they lose weight. Well, I think we all need to lose a few pounds, so maybe you could join me in cleaning out your closets and garages!

I came across this article about Spring Cleaning Rituals for Good Fortune by www.spiritnow.com and I thought it would be something good to pass along. The most simplest of negativity remover is Epsom Salts diluted in warm water, wiping down all you can with clean rags dipped and wrung out. You can even take a clean, new corn broom and deem it your Negativity Cleaning Broom, and dip the tips of the broom in the Epsom Salts water and lightly brush over your floors and carpets, always starting at the farthest back end of the house or apartment and working towards and trough the front door, sown the steps or landing, and ending at the curb.

Tarot by Jacqueline | The Magic Number of Your Name – Pt. 2

Earlier in the blog posts we calculated our ‘Magic” number for ourselves using an association of numerical values to each letter of the alphabet. So philosophies call this your “Destiny” number, the one that gives insight on how your life will be and what your purpose is on Earth. Again, this number is obtained by using the alphabet-to-numerical value scale in the previous post, namely, The Magic of Your Name Pt.-1

Here is a list of what each number means in association to your name:

The Number 1: If this is your Magic or Destiny number, then this is the number of a Leader. You are a Self-Made person who will be a strong contender in bringing innovative things to reality. Much weight is borne onyour shoulders, as you are a maverick, but you are a shining example of Success.

The Number 2: If this is your Magic or Destiny number you will have an adventurous life filled with many “ups” and “downs”. You will obtain success only if you utilize all your talents consecutively and your friends, family, and allies will bolster you throughout this roller coaster ride called Life.

The Number 3: If this number is your Destiny or Magic number, your are a natural in business ventures and will be quite the savvy success story. The better things coming to you in your later years will be helpful in achieving your goals and ambitions.

The Number 4: If this is your Magic or Destiny number, you must choose your profession carefully as you have limited options for success. Is this a bad thing? – No – but you do not have the chance or opportunity to flip between varying degrees of career choices. You have the ability to be a whiz at real estate and you will be successful if you apply your persistent nature.

The Number 5: If this is your Destiny or Magic number, your biggest obstacle to what you want in Life may just be yourself! Trust in Yourself, be cautious with strange schemes and enjoy your varied life experiences that you will have, both the challenging and the pleasurable.

The Number 6: If this is your Magic or Destiny number, do not waste your talents and laze the days away. You have a tendency to react with emotion and this could bring you more difficulties if you do not control this early. Opportunity knocks for those who are alert and listening to the rap on the door!

The Number 7: If this is your Destiny number, you may become a prominent figure in the World. An inner glow radiating from your Soul will illuminate many others’ lives. You will always have a close circle of Friends who may even become your business partners. Travel to exotic locales figure prominently.

The Number 8: If this is your Magic or Destiny number, then taking finances to task and making sure you have firm control will save you a lot of heartache. An active life, you may be involved with speculation on fantastically futuristic projects, but you must be shrewed with your cash flow in order to get them into the public.

The Number 9: If this is your Destiny number, your life is filled with contentment in the simpler things in life. Your talents are down-to-earth, logical ones and you may find yourself in the field or research. You are admired by many and will achieve an excellent business reputation.

The Number 10: If your name adds up to ten, then you must look at the meaning for the number 1.

The Number 11: If this is your Magic or Destiny number, you will be involved with big undertaking and your life will be very active. You will create a Life that only you could design and you are quite the Master of your own Destiny. Use this gift to make a change.

The Numbers 12 through 19: Please add bothe digits together to get one number. That is your true Destiny number.

The Number 20: Please see the meaning of the number 2.

The Number 21: Please see the meaning of the number 3.

The Number 22: Id this is your Destiny number, you will be challenged by the forces of your Lower Self and the Higher Self being in conflict unless you suppress the Lower Self and its’ unfavorable outcomes. Be careful not to be drawn into schemes that are questionable and underhanded. Over come your fluctuating moods and be deliberate in all your business dealings.

Any number higher than 22 must have both digits added together to be able to reduce it to its’ most common or lowest form. Foe example, if your name adds up to 56, then add these tow together and you will get the number 11. Remember that the numbers 11 and 22, are specialty Magic or Destiny number and cannot be reduced further.
