Tarot Reading By Telephone

“Knock, Knock!”

“Who’s there?”

Remember this game? We would play for hours, trying to out-wit each other with names that would make us giggle and roar with laughter.

Knock-Knock.

If Evil came knocking at your door, could you recognize it?

When a Catholic priest comes to your home to bless it, after the ritual he tells you that your home is protected from all evil, except the evil you bring in or invite into the house. The blessing of the Church can only keep out evil that you do not invite in yourselves. You are encouraged to not invite evil into your house, but this is not as easy as it sounds.

In the Bible, Jesus and the Devil had a conversation. In a nutshell, Jesus said that all things of this Earth and what is contained within it, is subject to be tools of Satan to work on people. Jesus also said the faithful will not succumb to these items of the earth.

Many people do. Jealousy. Drugs. Pornography. Alcohol. Debauchery. Envy. Greed. Gambling. Abuse. The list goes on and on.

The doors of many houses are thrown open wide for Evil.

Evil is people we associate with that try to change us and make us do things we normally wouldn’t do. Evil is lyrics to suggestive songs that change us make us do things we wouldn’t normally do. Evil is a member of the opposite sex who tell us that they are better at (fill in your own word here) than your loved one or spouse. Evil is products we ingest into our bodies that change us and make us do things that we would not normally do. Evil is advertising tell us we do not matter if we do not possess something, drive something, wear something. Evil is lifestyles that we believe we need to experience or emulate that try to change us and make us do things we wouldn’t normally do.

So, what does evil look like?

Evil could be that co-worker who is trying you to go bar-hopping with you or try to get you to date them.

Evil could be that reality star that is living a fantasy on the TV screen.

Evil could be those dope beats that is trying to convince you that your life is nothing unless you adopt this mentality.

Evil is advertising that make you feel worthless unless you buy that item.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. (Matthew 6:13)

Have a great week!
