Q:  What is this that I am getting into?

A:  First, you will not be conjuring up Satan and you will not be going to Hell. If you
were raised with Christian values or with morals that are positive and seek goodness
in all, you have come to the right place. Working with me is not turning your back on
God, in fact, I use Christian prayers and Psalms from the Bible in my petitions for
your behalf and I teach you these same effective prayers in relation to the type of
candle being used for your personal situation.

Q:  Do you do psychic readings?

A:   I use the Tarot cards and also utilize cowrie shells based on African divinations
systems to receive "yes or no" answers. I use these to seek out the cause of the
problem so that we can devise a plan of action to make positive changes in the
situation.

Q:   Is this Voodoo or something like that?

A:   No. Voodoo (or Voudoun) is a recognized religion based in Haiti and certain
aspects of it was practiced in New Orleans, LA. Related religions are Santeria,
Candomble, Umbanda and Macumba  However, what I do IS African based and is
known as Rootwork, Conjure or Hoodoo. This is a collaboration of African, Native
American and European traditions. Hoodoo was brought by Christian Africans in the
Diaspora and is largely a study of native herbs and plants to heal and empower.
Understanding that the plants available in the U.S. were not like plants in Africa, a
blending of Native American traditions as well as superstitions learned from their
captors has become what we call Hoodoo, Conjure or Rootwork today.

Q:   Doesn't the Bible tell you not to fool with magic?

A:   Is it magic when someone burns a religious candle for a loved one? Is it magic
when the elders of the Church anoint you with Blessed Oil when you are sick and
troubled? Is it magic when parishioners "lay hands" over you and pray over you "in
the Spirit"? No and the priests in the temples in the Bible say "Suffer not a witch to
live" when that person is working OUTSIDE the priesthood and the boundaries of the
Church. Old Testament priests were taught to look into the future and had powers to
harm if the cause be righteous.

I read with a tarot deck that was given to me well over 12 years ago called the
Tarot of the Orishas. This deck is no longer available and the artwork is
gorgeous. The Orishas are the nature based Gods and Goddesses of the ancient
Yoruba traditional religion and are present in todays Lukumi and Santeria
religions. I love them all and each one has characteristics that you can see in
everyone who lives today. I also incorporate using Obi divination to obtain a
"Yes" or "No" answer to your questions. To read about Obi divination
